Moroccan Mint Iced Tea

Summer is upon us, and there's nothing more refreshing than a cool, invigorating drink to beat the heat. One of my favorite recipes to enjoy during these hot days is Moroccan Mint Iced Tea.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 bag green tea or 1 teaspoon green tea powder
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 lemon
  • Fresh mint leaves
  • Ice cubes

Instructions
 

  • In a mug, add 1 cup of hot water.Add the green tea bag or green tea powder.Stir in 3 tablespoons of maple syrup.Squeeze in the juice of half a lemon and drop the lemon half into the mug.Add some fresh mint leaves.Mix well and let the tea cool down.
  • In a glass, add ice cubes.Pour the cooled tea over the ice.Garnish with lemon slices and extra mint leaves if desired.
  • Stir and enjoy your refreshing iced tea!
