Golden lentil soup
Golden lentil soup is one of my favorite. This golden soup have a lot of health benefits to boost our overall health and brain function. This soup make you warm from inside-out, with beautiful golden color from turmeric.
Ingredients from Golden lentil soup
Red lentils- Red lentil comes from legumes family. They are great to digest and easy to cooked. Red lentils and great plant-based protein, they are rich in fiber, iron, support weight loss, they are good for heart, bones and teeth.
Onion- Onion is one ingredient what can not miss by any soup’s recipe. For example they have a lot of nutrition and health benefits, like fight cancer, lower blood sugar level, enhance eye health, help our hair to grow and boost our over health. Use any kind of onion you like, however in this golden lentil soup I used a red one.
Garlic- Did you know that there are more than 450 varieties of garlic?! Garlic have been here for centuries and originally came from Asia. This small, white, spicy, magic can boost our metabolisms, relieves stress and fatigue, rejuvenates skin, is anti-inflammatory and may prevent heart disease.
Turmeric- Turmeric have been used in India for a thousand of year, however just lately scientists start to look closer of health benefits from turmeric. This spice amazed everyone, not just from a beautiful color, but although with a list of nutrition and health benefits.
Turmeric is natural anti-inflammatory, promotes weight loss, boost immune system, helps in wound healing, improves skin health and lots of more. Use one to two tbsp in this golden lentil soup recipes and enjoy the health benefits within.
Red pepper powder- most of us use this spice just because of deep color and easy way to boost color of whole food in our cooking, but did you know that this spice is excellent for us?! Red pepper powder boost our immunity, lower bad cholesterol and helps in digestion. If you like spicy food, try one to two tbsp cayenne pepper or normal red pepper powder in this Golden lentil soup.
Carrots- Carrots give this soup another beautiful color and help us improve our vision, protect our heart, improve kidney functions and clean our body.
Sweet potatoes- Sweet potatoes are rich in Vitamin B6 and great source of vitamin D. They are great source of magnesium, potassium and beta-carotene. This all may help our immune system, heart as well as lung function.
Zucchini- Zucchini is low in calories, however have a great benefits for overall health. Zucchini can lower cholesterol, reduce blood pressure and improve our immunity.

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 cup Red lentil
- 1 medium onion red
- 1 small garlic
- 1 tbsp tomato mark
- 2 tbsp turmeric
- 2 tbsp red pepper powder
- 1 medium carrot
- 1 medium zucchini
- 700 ml vegetables stock
Instructions
- Peel carrots with sweet potatoes and cut them in smallersquares, together with zucchini.
- Heat butter in sauce pot then add nice sliced onion, simmeronion till it soften but don't get brown color, around 3 minutes. Then pressgarlic and mix together with onion, then add tomato mark with all the spicesand mix well.
- Add red lentils with all sliced vegetables pour overvegetables stock and bring to boil, then turn heat on medium and let cookedtill lentils are cooked around 20 minutes.
- Enjoy this warm soup immediately
