Ingredients for Chicken with red wine potatoes
Chicken thighs โ Chicken is a great source of protein and also rich in vitamins and minerals. It can help us in weight loss and also control blood pressure, reduced cancer risk, and reduce cholesterol
Garlic โ You need the whole head of garlic, all you need is cut it in half and cooked together with chicken. This way is excellent to give a nice garlic taste for chicken.
Liquid โ For liquid, I used Vegetables stock. When it’s cooked, you can still use the rest of the liquid as a sauce on top of the chicken.
Onion – you require one white onion to cut in half, one half of the onion you need to use for chicken thighs and the other one for potatoes.
Spices and Herbs โ I used Salt, pepper, Red pepper powder and I used fresh oregano. Oregano has a great health benefits, for instance aids in digestion, boosts immune system, speed up metabolism.
Potatoes – If you prefer sweet potatoes, you can swap it. I like white potatoes, they taste great, and I show you before what kind of health benefits you get from eating potatoes as well.
Zucchini โ Used zucchini for extra green intake. Zucchini is great source of vitamins and help in weight loss, slows down aging, improves eyesight and help in digestion.
Red wine โ I like to cooked with red wine. Did you know, that red wine has also a great health benefits for us, for instance fight diabetes, boost heart health, prevents obesity and boost brain health! So enjoy a glass of wine while you cooked this recipe.
Spices and herbs โ I used salt, pepper, red pepper powder and extra goodness from Turmeric powder.
Chicken with red wine potatoes

Ingredients
Chicken thighs
- 500 g Chicken thighs or wings
- 2 tbsp Red pepper powder
- 1 whole Garlic
- 200 ml Vegetables stock
- 3 tbsp Butter
- 1/2 medium Onion
- 1/2 cup Oregano
Red wine potatoes
- 1 cup Potatoes
- 1 medium Zucchini
- 200 ml Red wine
- 1/2 medium Onion
- 2 tbsp Turmeric
- 1 tbsp Red pepper powder
Instructions
Red wine potatoes
- Preheat oven at 180 ยฐC
- Sliced onion in small.
- Peel potatoes and sliced them together with zucchiniย in 1 cm squares.
- In the same sauce pan simmer half of the onion for 2 minutes then add potatoes, zucchini, turmeric, red pepper powder, salt & pepper and let simmer 3 more minutes till all ingredients combine. Pour over red wine and let simmer till the red wine disappear. Place everything on the baking sheet and let baked for 30 minutes till potatoes are cooked thought.
Chicken
- Combine one tbsp of salt with red pepper powder and massage that over chicken thighs or wings.
- In sauce pan, heat butter and fried the other half of the onion with chickenthighs from both sides 3 to 4 minutes till they get gold color. Place everything on baking dish, in the middle place the whole garlic and baked for 20minutes at 180 ยฐC.
- Serve with extra fresh oregano on top and glass of red wine.
