Ingredients for papaya salad

Papaya โ€“ Papaya is so tasty and perfect for any salad. This fruit is a perfect source of vitamin A, Magnesium, Copper and Fiber.

Lettuce โ€“ use any greens you have at home, for example Romaine Lettuce, Swiss Chard, Bok Choy, Arugula or Spinach. Lettuce are low in IG and help our heart as well as skin.

Tomato โ€“ I think tomato make everything taste perfect. Tomato has a great health benefits, for instance they are good for skin, improve vision, digestive health. Reduce high blood pressure and protect our heart.

Onion โ€“ I used red onion, it brings a nice color in the salad. Onions have antibiotic, antiseptic, and that why it helps you stay away from infections.

Bulgur โ€“ Use bulgur or quinoa. Normally during a weekend I make a big bowl of bulgur, and then I used it in any dish I can. Unfortunately, I cooked mostly with bulgur, because somehow my stomach is upset after eating quinoa. I don’t know why, unhappy it so, but you can use any grain what make you happy. Quinoa is also a great option to try in this salad.

Nuts & Honey โ€“ Honey and nuts are a perfect comfort combination. Use any of your favorite nuts, I used walnuts and peanuts. Then heat pan without oil, add nuts with one tbsp of honey and let cooked till the honey melt and cover all nuts. Soooo yummy!

Dressing – I used Asian dressing, here are the ingredients what you need.  Hoisin sauce, Soy sauce, sesame oil, Chili, Lime, Honey. This salad dressing is really refreshing and dedicates.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 medium Papaya
  • 2 cup Lettuce
  • 2 medium Tomato
  • 1 large Onion
  • 1/2 cup Bulgur
  • 1/2 cup Nuts
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1/2 cup Cilantro
  • Salt & Pepper

Asian salad dressing

  • 1 tbsp Hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp Seam oil
  • 1 tbsp Chili
  • 1 small Lime
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • Salt & Pepper

Instructions
 

  • In sauce pot add ยฝ cup ofย Bulgurย with 1 ยฝ cup of salt water. Bring to boiled and cooked till all water disappear around 15 minutes.
  • Heat a pan without oil, then add nuts of your choose with honey and let simmer till honey melt and combine with all nuts.
  • For dressing, combine all ingredients in a bowl and mixwell.
  • Meanwhile, peel papaya, take out all seeds and cut in small squares. In a large bowl add lettuce, papaya, sliced tomato, onion, nuts, cilantro and dressing.
  • Enjoy
